After ten years of its previous design, Toyota released the third generation Tacoma for the 2016 model year with more aggressive styling, an enhanced frame, and improved engine options. This gives it better fuel efficiency, towing, and off-road capabilities than the 2015 model, and puts it about on par with the 2021 Toyota Tacoma. If you want a capable, stylish pickup truck but don’t need a full-sized behemoth, the 2016 Toyota Tacoma is one of the best compact pickups on the market.
